They showed Virginia Tech vs. ISU first.
Brian Stephens lost an exciting 4-6 OT match to Nate Carr. His offense was pretty limited in the match, but his gas tank was fantastic and made for excitement.

Disappointing 23-19 loss for the Flashes.
285: Barlow gets pinned by a guy he probably should have dominated. That swing would have been the difference in the dual.
125: Bedelyon pins Patrick Hunter
133: Sean Collins loses 3-9
141: Skonieczny gets majored by AA Chris Drouin
149: Clopton got beat in a tremendously boring match
157: Cathell gets the start (Shuster started against UTC) and wins by pin over highly-touted freshman Trent Weatherman. Funky.
165: Tice loses a heartbreaker in OT to Chris Spangler (who was a highly-sought after recruit two years ago, too)
174: Chris Estep was mauled by 2x AA Jon Reader. Not sure if it was a major or a tech.
184: Newburg wins in convincing fashion. Almost by major.
197: Kilgore won 13-2 in total dominance. I would have liked to see him get the pin, though. I think they said he had 4:40 in riding time.

Ward looked gassed at end of the 1st period against Va. Tech. Iowa st. had the match locked up against KSU. It really does hurt our sport though when marquee match ups are avoided. Would you not want to see where your wrestler is at...have a body of work which to study?
In Jacksons defense, Kilgore and Ward should meet today in the open. Also, coaches have more to worry about besides simply seeing exciting matches (injuries, seeding etc..)

Ben: Kilgore beat Ward 9-7 in the finals today. No word on whether or not Ward's knees were shaking throughout the match.
