Please note that three of the top ten wrestlers are from Monroeville. We've had good small school programs in Ohio before but nothing comparable. When these three graduate, it will be one of the great stories in the history of Ohio hs wrestling.

Somebody help me here.

16/16 in state titles, with only two matches decisions in that span so far (Phillips vs. Utley this year, and Tessari over Heminger in '08). There might be more.

1 loss for Logan, 1 for Chris, depending on how you count the injury default, 2 for Hunter, and 5 for Cam? That would be 9 career losses between four wrestlers, offset by probably something in the ballpark of 500-600 wins. So far, 5 Ironman titles, with 3 more chances (consider that both Palmers, Nemec, and Roddy, the powerhouses of the recent Ed's teams, won 3 combined.) They are perfect at Brecksville, which is a meatgrinder on it's own.

All of their losses come at Ironman.

To be fair, the perfect at Brecksville includes three of them not competing in one -- only Tessari has the shot at being a 4x Brecksville champ. Should Cam win at the holiday this year, in its 50th edition, he would join Northwestern head coach Drew Pariano (Fairview Park) and Craig Dimitris(Brecksville) as the only 4xers in event history. Logan Stieber ended up a 3x champ, while Tessari and Phillips seek their third this year.

watch out for Massillon Perry, (produced 2 NCAA champs in recent years, DSchlatter and Steve Luke.)

Dave Riggs is back as head man, they hired Matt Koz to work with the upperwts and this Russian guy who almost beat Terry Brands for World bronze.

John Grasinger state champ 1978 for N Canton Hoover, then wrestled for Oklahoma under Stan Abel is the new N Canton Hoover head coach. s/BobP

Bob - I thought the Russian was there last year too over at Massillon Perry, as we delve into tangential topics.

John Grasinger and Mark Ciccarello, father of recent Brush wrestlers Jordan and Kyle, waged one of the great finals matches in the history of the state meet. Grasinger was one of the studs of his era while Ciccarello was one of the all time greats in the history of N. Olmsted.

Yes. I'm sure it was. And I'm sure if I go back in order to read a Holman post, I might find the perfect way to handle this situation. Because let's face it... rage, bitterness and hatred CANNOT be the way to go!

On a totally different note: I picked some jalapenos from my garden yesterday, and am partaking with eggs today... WHOA NELLY!!!! these things are HOT! More spicy than hot, I suppose. Whew!
