That is, in a word, ridiculous!

Logan has Escobedo next, who beat Simmons.

These performances so far on the senior freestyle circuit are boosting in my confidence of him being able to deal with the athleticism of top level wrestlers in the NCAA. However, as always, freestyle is not indicative of folkstyle wrestling and it'll be an interesting year when he finally gets out there and wrestles for the Buckeyes.

Stieber ended up losing to Escobedo in the last second of the third period. They were tied 1-1, but Logan had the advantage because he had scored last. Escobedo took him down to his back in the last second.

Tough loss to NCAA champ Escobedo, but he did beat NCAA runnerup Hazewinkel. I see he lost to Mitcheff in cons., so he faces Nick Simmons tonight. Watch out for that front headlock choke...But what great experience for the kid. Not even in college and he's already wrestled a bunch of top former NCAA wrestlers and held his own! You got to believe he could go with anyone next year if they don't redshirt him. He took Escobedo down 3 times in his match...not push outs but real TD's.
Nice to see 3 ORTC members (Bunch, Bergman and Dlagnev) in the finals.

Good for Dan Mitcheff. Looks like the weight cut was a smart move. He is having a great tournament; wrestling for 3rd tonight.

I looked at the video for Logan & Escobedo, and it's easy to say in hind sight, but with 8 sec. left, if he just keeps circling he wins. In the last 8 sec. he backed to the edge where Angel threw him, but he was so close to the edge it looked like he still would have been pushed out anyway for the go ahead 1 point. Live & learn. Still a very impressive performance overall.
