A very important event for Ohio wrestling, The US Mens & Womens Open ---- had been in Las Vegas for 20 years now Cleveland has it for the next 2. We need to put fannies in the seats.
Thursday April 22 FILA Jr Greco--- Friday and finals are Saturday, Mens Greco & freestyle and Womens freestyle at CSUs Wolstein Center--- Sunday FILA Jr Freestyle.
Group & youth rates are available, its affordable, and its important to expose our youth to wrestlings best. Call Wolstein Center box office 216--687--9292 or go to www.usopencleveland.com for more info. s/BobP

Guys... we need to make it a priority to attend this event. It is really important. Bob is right - it is key for us to put butts in the seats.
If we can do this, we have the opportunity to keep this event in Cleveland for a long, long time. I think the lasting impact on our state could be significant. You'll see more Ohio college guys competing in it, and high school and youth wrestlers dreaming of being Olympians. It is very motivating to kids to see the best in action
It is sure easier to drive into to Cleveland with our families, youth team, club, high schoolers - whoever our group of people are - .. then it is to buy plane tickets for all of them to go out to Las Vegas.

I don't claim to be well versed in Freestyle but -- relatively speaking -- it looks like Hump is in a good bracket to get to the finals while Jags has some real work in front of him.
Can someone explain why Hiles is listed as being from the ORTC but Dlagnev and Rowlands are from Sunkist even though they train at ORTC? Does it have to do with funding or some other reason?

I absolutely loved what Herbert and Pendleton did for the fans and wrestling at the Big 10 vs Big 12 Challenge, but I hope a rematch happens so we can see what really happens with two of our nation's best at 84kg. Both are so talented and I can't wait to see how the bracket unfolds!

Saw Scott Burnett's name in the challenge tourney at 60KG -- seems light to me but it'd be fun to watch him compete.

Your prediction was almost correct. J Jaggers had a tough tournament, Reese wrestled for third after losing to fellow OTC guy, Shawn Bunch, but lost after a strange incident where he appear to blackout and though he seemed fine. the match was stopped. Anyone who the details of the episode.
