I was just skimming the brackets of Sr. Nationals and saw that he lost to Ryen Nieman in the semis. What happened to Cody this year? Anyone know why he didn't wrestle at districts/state?

I think he transferred schools mid-season and couldn't participate.

I know this much:
He spent his first 3 years at Claymont. He transferred to New Philadelphia at the beginning of the year to play football (not sure why he didn't want to or could not play at Claymont). Maybe he tried to transfer back to Claymont?

From what I was told by someone that lives in the area he transferred during football season and then tried to transfer back to Claymont for wrestling and was able to transfer however was not allowed to wreslte becuase of the mid-season transfer and the OHSAA rules

What a diminuitive career:
Freshman Year: State Champ in a tough bracket, beat Neibert in finals
Sophomore: State Runner to Neibert
Junior: A back injury keeps him from qualifying for state
Senior: Transfer decisions keep him from competing at all.
