I knew this was going to be a down year for Ohio natives, but this down is surprising.

Quite a few guys that we thought could AA, in fact, did not: Mike Pucillo, Mike Miller, Jesse Dong, Dustin Schlatter, Dave Rella, Colt Sponseller, Dave Erwin, etc.

On a side note, it was nice to see Triggas (yes, I know that he is not a native Ohian) turn it on at nationals and AA. I didn't think that he was wrestling well enough to AA at the end of the year.

Well, Triggas is wrestling his nemesis Zach Sanders. Let's see if he can take him out this time around.

Lindsey and Mitcheff both win AGAIN. Both top 6.

Lindsey should have Reece in the morning.

The lingering affects of injury ruined the chances of Mike Miller and Mike Pucillo. Dustin got hurt at a terrible time. These three wrestlers earned AA honors eight times. It's a shame for them and certainly a legit explanation for why Ohio was so down.

2 All-American's for the 2nd year in a row for KSU... with Bedlyeon and Kilgore both back next year!. Great to see KSU keeping it going...

Congrats to OU's Lindsey good to see OU coming back after a few down years.

Also to OSU with 3 AA, hope Palmer does it agian.

3 Ohio programs all on the upswing in my opinion

Does anyone know if Bedelyon is going to be able to stay at 125? Kent should have a very exciting team next year with returning AAs Kilgore and Bedelyon, NQs Tice, Barlow, and Whitt, and also Chase Skonieczny, Adam Cogar, and Mallie Schuster. I could really see more than 2 AAs next year.

This number should be in double digits next year. The next five years Ohio wrestlers should be dominating the National scene. Ohio does need to get better at mat wrestling though. To many high school coaches concentrate on takedowns. Takedown defense is so good at the college level that you need to be good on the mat to pull out those close victories. That's how Metcalf beat Palmer and sadly how a lot of our great Ohio wrestlers fall.

If we only had 4 this year, what was the number breakdown for the rest of the nation?
