"Triggas , it almost seems like he was better 2 seasons ago . I hate to say that ."

I think trigass needs a big win so he can get his confidence back. If he can avoid a major, tech ,or pin against escobedo on sunday, things might turn around form him

Triggas looked like he did not have anything in the tank. No energy. Half shots, flat footed.
Tony J with a nice win (and a defensive pin that was missed by the ref IMO). He is going to do just fine at this level IMO. He won't AA for a while, but he is dangerous.
Colt with the gas tank and several 3rd period TD's to get the tech. He's a horse.
Nice job by Morrison. He showed some burst at the end.
Solid showing by the Buckeyes.

I liked freshman Paddock coming out after the Triggas loss & stopping the Purdue momentum with a nice bonus point performance. Jameson too with a nice smart match. Was riding tough and took a lot out of Salazar.

Nice win for Jameson but Salazar did nothing for some reason.

Pucillo looked like an animal. That is the best I have seen him wrestle this year. Totally aggressive and accountable, feet moving, he did a nice job.

I really liked how well Jameson and Paddock competed. Paddock is the real deal. Tough on his feet and on top--and he's getting better as the year wears on. Jameson appears to have been given an opportunity and he's making the most of it. We'll see how he does with Kinser. Kinser is unorthodox and loves his body locks and headlock. That will either play into what Jameson does well--countering out of danger--or he'll get crushed. One thing of which I'm certain is that Jameson will come to compete. Ultimately, that's all you can ask.
At this point in the year, this is the best the Bucks have looked since Ryan took over. Winning Vegas, 3rd at National Duals and convincing wins over solid Purdue and Penn State squads. The way they're performing is what I'd hoped to see when he arrived. And did anyone else feel sorry for the Purdue 165? He really wanted to compete with Colt but got crushed.
The Big Ten Network guys did a good job but I laughed when one commented that Pucillo doesn't score backs that often. Last year, he was a back point machine.
Looking forward to the match with IU. If Harrington is available, it might not be a bad time to use him. Triggas upside is obvious--he pins--but his inconsistency is maddening.

That 125 Purdue is a future stud.
Jameson did look good, and this is a quality win.
I agree with Hank - OSU looks great. They are pounding top 25 teams.

Inconsistant ,,,, Triggas is a couple matches above 500 ,,and the momentum is in the wrong direction . It's a shame , because he obviously has the potential ,,,
Did anyone tape that match last night ? Anyway to share it ? We have Armstrong cable , no bigten network,,,,,,kinda sucks

Watched the other matches. Loved the ultra athletic head plant cartwheel, hip heist by Jameson. I had to watch that again a couple times in slow motion. Jameson is learning what he can and cannot do. I love that his stance is so low. It is what he needs to do. As his initial reactions improve, he will not give up the deep shot and then he is free to counter from a more neutral position. That will ultimately make a huge difference when he wrestles his opponents a second time. Jameson is fun to watch and may be the most dynamic wrestler in college right now. Granted he is young in his college development but you don't teach his type of hip explosiveness or kinesthetic awareness.
Hank-
As a coach, you respect and feel for the Purdue wrestler against Colt. He brought his best effort and tried hard but was just overmatched. It was 4-1 with 30 seconds left in the 2nd. His position materially declined and got routed from that point forward.

Rex: I agree about the Purdue 165. The coach in me admired him for giving his all in spite of being outclassed. I love your comments about Pucillo. He looked like his old self including his ability to counter out of a deep shot without breaking a sweat. That's the Old Iron Mike. My money is on him come March.

Hank-
I feel that Mike is in the same boat as Jaggers was last year. he knows that he is able to compete at an extremely high level; but needed to make some adjustments in his thinking and wrestle from his best positions in order to achieve that form. I am inferring from that performance that he is on the right path to accomplishing that goal
