Kent the 5th seed, gets Drexel in rd 1 and then should get Penn State.

OU unseeded, draws 6 seed Edinboro. When healthy, Edinboro is no joke.

OU vs. Edinboro

Was just thinking if OU had a shot to knock off Edinboro.

The key for OU to have a shot will be to limit bonus points. Unfortunately, Edinboro's best two classes may be where OU is struggling to date.

125 - Morrill over ? - Fall 0-6
133 - Keyes over Fluke - 3-6
141 - Lindsey over Webster - 6-6
149 - Gillespie over Morton - 6-9
157 - Tucker over Laird - 9-9
165 - King Fall Christensen - 9-15
174 - Moricone over Ison (wrestled at RTOC) - 9-18
184 - Purdue over Bradshaw (wrestled at RTOC) - 12-18
197 - Schuth MD Fendone (wrestled at RTOC) - 16-18
285 - Birchler over Hartshorn - 16-21

Should be a good dual. Obviously toss ups in there, specifically 84 which was a very close match at RTOC.

You ever feel like you're talking to yourself? Haha.

So, I think Kent can beat Penn State in the 2nd rd.

Here's a possible projection.

125 - Pataky maj Opfer - 0-4
133 - Mitcheff maj Pearsall - 4-4
141 - Skonieczny dec Lynch - 7-4
149 - Molinaro dec Cathell - 7-7
157 - Sanderson dec Shuster - 7-10
165 - Vallimont dec Tice - 7-13
174 - Ortega dec Simpson - 7-16
184 - Kilgore dec Erwin - 10-16
197 - Stedman dec Cogar - 10-19
285 - Barlow dec Wade - 13-19

If Witt wrestles, I think he can win at 74. Plus, you never know with Kilgore and bonus points.

It is very realistic for Kent State to beat Penn State.

Ison will not be wrestling in the Virginia duals and Lindsey is questionable. Really takes away any shot they may have had against boro. Even though Ison got majored against the boro kid who may also be out. But boing is a pretty good replacement for Lindsey in the first match. Wilson will probably have to wrestle 174

Kilgore beating Erwin 8-4 right now. Kilgore is working hard for a cradle, needs bonus points for Kent to have a chance to win. He is wayyyy outworking Erwin so far.

Edit: 11-5 Final

OU losed 20-12 to Edinboro, Ison and Lindsey don't wrestle or they win that dual.

Morton beat #19 Gillespie.

A couple notes:

-Chase was winning 2-1 before being reversed to his back and pinned in the last minute. That 9-point swing would have changed the dual result.

-Jesse Dong upset Cyler Sanderson earlier today. GREAT win for Dong should put him in the top 5.

-Wade won in SV off of a scramble spurred by Barlow's single leg shot. I thought Barlow was going to get the takedown and he held the leg pretty deep the whole time. I guess I didn't have as good of a view as the ref, but it didn't look like a TD to me. I could definitely be wrong about that, and it was a close match nonetheless.

Ohio and Kent will wrestle tomorrow morning. Unfortunately it seems that neither team is at full strenght.

With Ison and Lindsey out, I think Kent wins handily.

Are there updates on Cathell?

Should be fun!

Looks like Kent won 33-9.

I was told that Purdue and Schuth were both banged up and may not wrestle today, in addition to Lindsey and Ison being out.

KSU holds out Skonieczny and Tice. Any news on Cathell?

Not sure about the last three classes, on line saying they may have been forfeits.

Good luck to KSU in the next rd.

125-Troy Opfer (KSU) dec Kyle Ciccarello (OU) 4-2
