Discussion Topic: Dear Coach Ryan...

I doubt that many of us know Coach Ryans recruiting stategy, though we have seen him go after the big time national recruits without lots of success and lose out on very good in state kids. My perception, whether correct or not, was that after losing out on Peppleman, he may have made a late run at Sulzer. By this time, it was too late. In a case like this I would like to see TOSU go after both and the first to commit gets the $. I'd be quite happy to have either Campolattano or Macintosh so go for both and take the first to commit. Tessari might actually work well into the Buckeye future if he might grow to 157 in that he could redshirt during Nemecs senior season. My perception is that Coach Ryan might recruit from too short a list in trying to get the best. I suggest expanding that list and then taking those most intrested in being Buckeyes. This strategy would probably allow us to lose less of the best Ohio kids. We might not get many great out of staters, but I don't think we've been successful in doing that anyway. Ryan is only in his fourth year, and if he can continue his current level of success I think that a few more years down the road those kids who are elementery and middle school level now will be more inclined to want to be Buckeyes.

Maybe a dumb question, but: Are Zeb and Ian Miller related? I know both Oak Harbor guys, so it seems likely.

My shoes, well his now. Just because Nate Skuz wears his brothers KSU shoes does not mean they are both just going to KSU. No one is in the drivers seat (recruiting wise). I would love to see him go to KSU but it may not be reality, the kid has to make his own choice. I have a degree and a great job because of KSU, that is all I want for the kid, his sister goes to tOSU, so he has ties there as well.

It's in football at a DI program as an offensive lineman.

He also has a dream of "dotting the i" in Script Ohio as a tuba player.
