A couple here...

In the Wapakoneta v. Napoleon dual:
215: Logan Erb (Wapakoneta) dec. Cody Bloom (Napoleon) 4-2

I didn't think Erb would be tested that much this early on.

Massillon Perry 49, Cleveland St. Ignatius 11
103: Millen (Perry) pin Serrilti (St. Ignatius) 1:03
112: DiCamillo (St. Ignatius) dec. Newhouse (Perry) 4-2
119: Robinson (St. Ignatius) md. Emery (Perry) 14-3
125: Arrendale (Perry) dec. Long (St. Ignatius) 8-6
130: Hannon (Perry) md. Lees (St. Ignatius) 18-6
135: Dailey (Perry) dec. Hoyt (St. Ignatius) 6-4
140: Foster (Perry) pin Gibbons (St. Ignatius) 3:45
145: Lemon (Perry) dec. Calton (St. Ignatius) 7-1
152: Clemens (Perry) dec. Janesz (St. Ignatius) 3-1
160: Habat (St. Ignatius) md. Petrine (Perry) 19-7
171: Riordan (Perry) dec. Lucarelli (St. Ignatius) 8-1
189: Tayes (Perry) pin Bendokaitis (St. Ignatius) 2:38
215: Wise (Perry) won by forfeit
285: Mayes (Perry) won by forfeit

Dailey over Hoyt is a good win for the sophomore. DiCamillo over Newhouse is a tough match.

Dailey v Hoyt not a surprise. DiCamillo over Newhouse not a surprise. The fact that Bloom kept it close with Erb, not a surprise.

Dailey 4th @ state 2009, Hoyt 6th -- both DI/130.

Remember that Bloom was a semifinal loser at district in 2008 -- lost a pair of go-to-state matches. This past year, if not for yacking first round against the Bellevue kid, he draws Erb in the quarters and could have easily made state through the back draw. As it was, his second loss was to Pickerel 3-2 (the same score by which Pickerel sent Erb packing in the go to state round).

Bloom pushed the action for the entire match. Not taking anything away from Erb, but he just layed there with his face buried in the mat. Erb capitalized on 2 mistakes by Bloom. Should be fun to see them match up again.

Quote from Hank Kornblut's post:

"Boy, Perry just reloads."

Was talking to Perry's coaches today. They really like the team they have in spite of the fact they're young.
