I was just checking some college opens and ran across this score. Looks like it could be an all-Missouri final.

That result doesn't surprise me one bit! Toal is awesome and he's going to be an exceptional college wrestler.

What did surprise me is the next result. What is FHS?

There are a ton of interesting results in there. How about defending national champion Mark Ellis getting beat by a wrestler from UCO (University of Central Oklahoma)? This is a tough tournament.

Having a defending champ lose is surprising but it does -- see Jaggers. It's even less surprising to me at 285 where tight matches are the norm.

Did see that he took 4th -- losing to his teammate as well.

Meade did defeat Zach for third. Overall a good day for the true frosh.

Brady,
What struck me about it wasn't so much that he lost -- if he lost to Rosholt or Bradley, I wouldn't have thought too much of it -- it was the fact that he lost to a kid who isn't in Division 1. I think that's a testament to how tough the guys in the UCO program are.

True -- and remember our World Team rep wasn't a DI guy. And Mocco lost to Les Sigmon recently, another non-DI guy.

I was looking through those brackets- why does the name Caleb Hulse ring a bell? Was there a kid from Ohio a few years back with that name or a similar one?

Chris Perry beat Deron Winn. Good win there.

...old age? Haha.

Caleb Douce, Austin and Dallas Hucle are the closest names I can think of.

The Perry win over Winn is huge. I hear that Perry has some pretty good genes.

I think Hucle is what I was thinking of. And, yes, I blame the fact that I am nearly an octogenarian.

Re Perry - His brother wrestled at Iowa, I think. I don't know of anybody else in the family who did anything of significance.

Didn't his uncle Gaylord throw knuckle/spitballs for about about 14 different MLB teams?

I thought his family was a bunch of NASCAR drivers- Lee, Richard, and Kyle. I might be wrong, but don't think so.
