Novice Wrestling Tournament
Date: Sunday DECEMBER 13TH, 2009
Place: Thiel College

Time: Wrestling starts at 9:30
Weigh-Ins: Each school or club will be responsible for weighing each
wrestler the evening prior to the tournament and marking
the left arm with age and exact weight
Entry Fee: $15.00 must be received on or before DEC 10TH, 2009.
Walk ins accepted
that day $17.00 PLEASE MAIL EARLY.
Ages: This tournament is open to 1st and 2nd year ONLY!
Wrestlers up to 12 years of age.
Eligibility: Age Day of Tournament
Rules: All matches will be run 1 – 1 – 1.
Awards: All wrestlers will receive a medal after 12 pts.
Admission: Adult $3.00 Student $1.00

Tournament Explanation:
This tournament is designed to accommodate the beginning wrestler by providing experience. Each wrestler will receive a bout sheet that will stay with them throughout the tournament. Winning wrestlers will be awarded 5 points while the losing wrestler will be awarded 3 points. In case of a tie both wrestlers will be awarded 5 points. When a wrestler has accumulated 12 points they will receive a medal. We will make every effort to pair each wrestler with an opponent who is as close in age and weight as possible.

these are great tourney's for new wrestlers (novice) that are 1st or 2nd year and in particular the younger kids...everyone gets 3 or 4 matches and a medal to take home!!
