Tonight's match-up takes us all the way back to the 1988 DI State Finals.
Take a look...

Jared and/or Zeb... I had to do something tonight. Tuesday nights aren't good right now due to open mats and Wednesday, I'm out as well. Thursday are iffy (is that a word?) and Fridays through Sundays are reserved for the ol' gridiron. So, I decided to go with Monday Night Memories. I thought about going Monday Night Mayhem but thought that sound like something Scott Nicola would come with!
Who knows, maybe next week it will be Thursday Night Thomething. Full Throotle Thursday - reserved for high-paced matches????????? I don't know, that's your job.
Anywho, here's a vid.

Great to see Fried compete. As noted throughout the broadcast, he looked more controlled than usual. I don't think this match gives an indication of how great he was. Remember, he's the only wrestler to win four Jr National freestyle titles.
Josh Robbins was no slouch. He wrestled Greg Genovese the following season in the state finals and lost 5-4. As memory serves, he was winning and the refs started hitting him for stalling. It hurt him in this match.
Robbins won as a senior then went to Penn State.

There is a very good chance I can get some more videos up on Thursday and/or Friday.
Look for the Collins brothers out of Igantius (???) and maybe even a one Rex Holman!

Here's a vote for Pete Nathanson vs Bryan Gron, 1991 Mentor District Finals.
Also, anything with Jon Vaughn (from his jr or sr season). I'd love to see Steve Kosarko as well. More Roger Chandler. Loved watching his finals match with Grammes. Was there ever anyone with a more lethal pinning combo from the feet over the course of a single season?
Love the Gohiocasts. Hope others will take advantage of them.
