I propose we come up with four guys for each weight, then everybody can discuss how the round robin would go.

Quote from Bob Preusse's post:

"
Neider in 1994 and Heskett are the ONLY two ever in Ohio, as far as I know, to PIN their way thru sectional, district and state tourn in the same year. "

Didn't Lance Palmer do this, too? And maybe Hunter Stieber his freshman year?

Quote from Bob Preusse's post:

"talking 171 Sam NEIDER of st Eds a great candidate, his senior year won NHSCA tourn in Pittsburgh, thats when sr nationals was really something.

Neider in 1994 and Heskett are the ONLY two ever in Ohio, as far as I know, to PIN their way thru sectional, district and state tourn in the same year.

Neider was so so very physical."

Bob, how close did Buddie come to doing this? If I remember correctly, Buddie did not have a 6 minute match his entire senior year.

Several wrestlers have done this (I think Fickell did it twice). I think Bob's point was that they were TEAMMATES who did it. And I can't think of another set of teammates who accomplished that feat in the same post season.

I don't remember Lester's senior year as being one that set the world on fire. I seem to recall lukewarm state semifinal and finals bouts.

Neither Stieber has pinned through state. There were techs in their matches -- though Hunter had all his matches go the distance in his sophomore campaign as I remember.

Heskett went to Walsh and Neider to St. Ed.

I'd like a fade with finger-length on top.

well i know Heskett and Neider pinned out in sectional, district & state, a big deal was made of it at the time as if it was a record--- anyone else i am not aware. Tough to do, if u get a inj default, a forfeit or a TF, the streak is broken.

btw Heskett almost had another REMARKABLE pinning record. Heskett almost became the only guy to pin all 12 of his opponents at state in 3 straight state appearances. (4 guys each year, 12 total in 3 years). But Heskett didnt pin Mark Becks in the finals his senior year, so Joe was 11 for 12.

Still remarkable and considering it all, the caliber of opponents, perhaps Joe HESKETT was Ohio's greatest all time high school pinner ?? s/BobP
