In first round action at 66 kilos, Darrion Caldwell beat Doug Schwab in two periods. Caldwell looked brilliant, hitting great singles and immediately manuvering to a strong finish position. Schwab had no answer for his speed and timing.
Schwab was an Olympian in 2008. He was heavily favored to beat Caldwell.

He also beat Brian Stith, however, he lost a very close match to Jared Frayer, so he will not get to face Trent Paulson for a spot on the world team.
