2009 World Team Trials freestyle wildcards
55 kg/121 lbs. – Danny Felix, Morgantown, W.Va. (Sunkist Kids)
60 kg/132 lbs. – Reece Humphrey, Indianapolis, Ind. (Ohio State WC)
66 kg/145.5 lbs. – Darrion Caldwell, Rahway, N.J. (unattached)
74 kg/163 lbs. – Moza Fay, Anamosa, Iowa (Panther WC)
84 kg/185 lbs. – Alex Clemsen, Corvallis, Ore. (Sunkist Kids)
96 kg/211.5 lbs. – Eddie Phillips, Woodland, Mich. (Cliff Keen WC)
Correct me it I'm wrong, but didn't Reece make the finals of University Nationals? Wouldn't that have qualfied him already?
Also note that a very dangerous Caldwell is added to an already loaded 66kg weight class.

Danny Felix is amazing. I can't believe his body is still holding up and that he is wrestling 121. We beat each other up in 1994. And that was at 126. And I don't think he has ever taken a break from competition since then. He is at least a class or two ahead of me, which would make him around 35.

I really respect guys like Danny Felix and Randy Lewis who still get after it at their given ages because they can and because they love wrestling. That's great for the sport.
I'm also glad that Reece got the wildcard. He was made for freestyle.
I just saw a video of Mike Zadick beating Mavlet Batirov at the 2006 Worlds. I really hope that Mike Zadick shows up for the trials and then the Worlds. He wrestled out of his mind, but has been in a slump ever since then. He's capable of so much more.
