actually Iowa had 3 medical forfeits, those are big, like geting a pin-- 2 bonus points per match without breaking a sweat.
but regardless it was there for Ohio St to win it and they couldnt, so Iowa "deserved" the title.
But Ryan is Ohio coach of the year. Russ was there 20 years and could never finish 2nd--- this is Ryans second 2nd in a row, in only 3 years at the helm in Columbus.

Why is deserved in parentheses? No reason to qualify it. The most points wins. Period. And it was Iowa.
