No other one-timer will ever come close to Pat. Or multi-timer for that matter.
Some of these guys need to learn their history.

There is one other one-time Ohio State Champ that have not been mentioned. He has a record good enough to be an inductee in the Wrestling Hall of Fame in Stillwater, Oklahoma.(Trivia) (Tricky)

Also there are two multi-timer Ohio State Champs who have records good enough to be inductees in the Wrestling Hall of Fame in Stillwater, Oklahoma.(Bobby Douglas & Leroy Kemp)"

Understood, and I am not sure what Pat did post-college. But two firsts and two seconds in college without a redshirt has only been surpassed by two guys I believe.

Gary

Pat has been mentioned on this thread. The other one time Ohio State Champ who is in the Hall of Fame has not been mentioned on this thread.
(Tricky)
By the way I have no idea who is the best.Too many differences. Different time, different weights, different rules and different opponents.

I don't think that necessarily puts him very far ahead (if it puts him ahead at all) of Randleman. The guy went 2, 1, 1, and would have been a huge favorite to win it all again if he had stayed in college his senior year.

Not Joe Heskett: Joe won three Ohio State Championships and is not in the Hall of Fame in Stillwater. The answer is tricky, This wrestler won only one Ohio State Championship and has a record good enough to be an inductee in the Wrestling Hall of Fame in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

I don't know why, but I always get confused if this guy went to Garfield or Cleveland Heights. Dave Range?

John Robert Dula is talking about Mike Milkovich.

Mike Milkovich was a one time champ and he was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in 1983.

The question is, what were his accomplishments in college? I know and understand Coach Milkovich's INCREDIBLE contributions at Maple Heights and not many of us will ever have a school named after us for our athletic accomplishments, but I can't find what he did in college. Does anyone know? I would like to know.

Now I am embarrassed. I went to Maple, Coach Mike taught me Driver's Ed, and he never came to mind.

Not sure what he did in college other than I believe he went to Kent.

Mike Milkovich Jr. was a MAC champ for Kent in 1970 and went on to take 6th in the NCAA. A Mike Milkovich Sr wrestled at Kent in the mid 1940's I think there were more Milkovich's at Kent as well maybe a Dan and some others. I don't know if they are from the same family line or not?

Mike, Dan, Tom, Pat
Paul Milkovich is Mike's brother and was Maple's first State Champ
Jamie is Paul's son and the current coach at Maple
