Discussion Topic: Ohio Wrestlers Ranked in D1
Hank Kornblut added to this discussion on January 9, 2009
It does not look like Ohio will defend their title--held for the last two years--of producing the most D1 AA's. Here's a list according to AWN of top 20 ranked wrestlers that prepped in Ohio.
125:---------
133: Deubel #11, Mitcheff #14
141: Lashaway #9, Jaggers #13 (Jaggers could be in danger of not qualifying for the national tourney under the new rules if he doesn't start winning some matches)
149: Palmer #4
157: Johnstone #14
165: Sponseller #5
174: Luke #1, Miller #8
184: Pucillo #2, Kilgore #7, Caponi #10, Honeycutt #12
197: Logan Brown #14
285: Porter #4, Morrison #14

Miller looks to be hitting his stride. What a performance at the midlands. We all knew he was good, but I didn't expect him to beat Borschel.[/i]
